Areng Valley is a community in the central Cardamom Mountains National Park. The Cardamom Mountains are the largest mainland rain-forest of Southeast Asia. A jewel among the 32 biodiversity hot-spots of the planet, the mountain range is covered with the emerald forest spanning from the mountaintops to the ocean front, where a complex network of estuaries and mangroves feeds rich fisheries. This magnificent wilderness is one of Asia's seven remaining elephant corridors and is home to the last wild population of Siamese Crocodiles and Royal Turtles on earth.
